| - Ever since I first stepped foot into The Wynn about 6-7 years ago, I've always wanted to actually stay the night here. Not just meander about, checking out all the beautiful scenery. Finally that day has come where I carried my love through the doorway into their amazing all white rooms, as we rejoiced with a "hallelujah" as the automatic blinds opened to an awesome view of The Strip. I must have hit the open and close button for those blinds 50 times just to watch them in motion. All from the comforts of our plush, soft bed. Yes, I'm quite easily entertained.
My only regret, is I can't afford to stay here often. If I could live here, I would, seriously! I wouldn't even have to leave the grounds and I could die a happy man. From entertainment, high end window shopping, to exquisite Vegan dining, there's not much that my Vegan homie Steve Wynn hasn't thought to include in his opulent palace of excess. Yes, Gluttony thy name is Wynn Las Vegas!
I have to give him credit for including at least one Vegan option in every restaurant in the casino. Although my one minor gripe is that they don't always place the Vegan menu out front next to the other menu. You usually have to request to see it. Not a big deal since there's always a small army of hostesses waiting out front of each restaurant. My other gripe would be the exorbitant resort fee. Although most places on the strip now charge a fee so I guess I have beef with all of them as well.
About that room... Is it worth the price tag? You betcha! Everything is built with excellent quality while attention to detail is obvious in every nook 'n cranny. Although I could hear a pair of heels clickety-clacking in the room above us the next morning, along with a tv blaring in the room next to us. If the walls are that thin, our neighbors no doubt were bothered by us enjoying every feature of the room. Hey, those blinds are loud!
The casino itself is one of my favorite in Vegas. If you're mantra is "go big, or go home", this place is for you with its high minimum bets and classy dealers. While I'm not a major gambler by any means, so I may not know a lick of what I'm talking about. I played my first game of craps here and lost $60 in record time. I've since made that back and then some, on my favorite Top Dollar slot machine. In fact, my Top Doller winnings paid for our meal at Lakeside the next night. Then again, that just goes to show you that The Wynn as an entire resort will get back all of their money one way or another.
I'm so grateful that I was able to experience this place together with my love for our first trip to Vegas. It's always been my favorite casino to spend time in Vegas. Now I am able to see it in a whole new, much brighter light.
Pro tip: Join their Red Card program and they'll often send you pretty good deals through the mail.
Pro Tip #2: It's probably all in my head, but in my experience, inserting a fresh $20 into the slot machine instead of the paper ticket you get after cashing out, almost always yields better results. Hey, it's all mind over matter right?
Pro Tip #3: Don't take advice from a gambling n00b...
