Got to the club around 12:30 on a Friday night and there was a good number of people on the dance floor. There is a $5 cover and the music was really good when we got there. It's mostly top 40, tunes you can dance to. The space however is very small and everyone is squished like sardines on the dance floor. Yes, obviously you want to go to a club with a lively crowd, but there were points where dancing or even swaying side to side was impossible. Also, their dance floor is filthy. I was stepping on small rocks and straws all night which was irking and uncomfortable. There is a rooftop patio accessible with pretty fairy lights for when you need to take a breather. As for the crowd, it's mostly people in their early/mid twenties.
With a name like Tokyo Bar, you would think that it would be a sea of asians, but the crowd is more multicultural than expected! If you're from Toronto, it is nothing like a Friday night at Easy on the Fifth.
Also, it should be noted that their tequila shots were the absolutely awful. Don't ever get the tequila. Ever.
