I'm scratching my head trying to figure out why anyone would think this place is amazing. It's a little hole in the wall that is for quick casual eats or take out. The food is as lackluster as it gets and was disappointing.
FOOD: Pita looked and tasted store bought. It was so bad that I couldn't eat it. The pita had a weird taste and texture, not authentic at all. I love a real homemade pita and this was not it.
The falafel was flat and as hard as rock not to mention flavorless and dry. Extremely disappointing.
The humus was fine. Not sure if it's homemade or not. It didn't wow me but wasn't bad. The hummus was the only part of the meal I liked.
As someone else wrote, rice is rice so not much to say there. It was not flavored or interesting. I would say the same about the salad except I liked the olives since they weren't the super salty Kalamata olives.
I ordered Baklava but they didn't have any which was disappointing. They substituted with a cake slice that had a cream cheese frosting. Not a good substitute for baklava.
Overall I'd say the meal was meh. As much as I like to support locally owned establishments I wouldn't return nor recommend and this is coming from someone who is part Turkish and has eaten many authentic meals.
