Saturday night. Impromptu dinner with a friend. 830pm. Parking lot was full. Restaurant was pretty full but we got a table right away. Ambiance was lovely. Waitress was pleasant. The bread basket they brought was delicious, especially the little cornbread muffins. Compliments of the chef was a crostini with fig jam and goat cheese, delicious and unexpected. Next was guacamole and chips. Fresh and to die for. I ordered the fish tacos and my friend ordered a salad. We both cleaned our plates. To top it off, gelato. Smooth, sweet, perfect ending to a wonderful meal. Very impressive, I'll be back this week. I would have given 5 stars but the black beans that came with the tacos were just a touch salty.
I came back the same week for happy hour. The green chili pork kettle was AMAZINGLY and I can't stop thinking about it. Good with the fresh tortillas or even just chips. We also got the queso which was amazing. And the guacamole is hard to beat. Love love love this place.
