| - Buffets are not about quality, let's just get that right out there. Buffets are about QUANTITY and getting as much for your dollar as possible. Because of this, I'm generally not a huge fan of buffet style eating. But that aside, the Bayside Buffet isn't half bad when compared against others in Vegas. It has one distinct advantage for sure, FREE ALCOHOL. Yep, they have red and white wine and champagne and it's free. It's not high end but it's as decent as anything you'd be served on a plane. Every other buffet I've been too charged extra for alcohol of any kind. So free alcohol is a Bayside "plus". The food was ok, not tremendous but not bad. For seafood lovers they have crab legs, mussels, shrimp, Lox, baked salmon, baked swai (aka..basa) , a few different sushi rolls and cioppino (very spicy). The mussels were tender, not rubbery, and the baked fish dishes were both moist, not overcooked and dried out. The shrimp were a good size too. If you're not a fan of seafood, they have pizza (which looked decent), prime rib and chicken . For veggie lovers you'll find things like asparagus and corn on the cob. The dessert section is fairly vast as well with a nice assortment of fresh baked cookies, cobbler, tiramisu, bread pudding, carrot cake, chocolate cake, soft serve frozen yogurt and more. For the $30 entry price you will certainly get your monies worth. So if you're doing Vegas on a budget or simply don't feel satisfied by smaller restaurant portions, the Bayside Buffet just might be your thing.
