I paid $80 to rush some medicine to my mother in Taiwan using DHL. It turned out there was an issue with the mailing address. Goin' Postal was unable to type in the mailing address in Chinese characters as I requested so they used an English version of the address. Some parts of the English version ended up not going through, which they said was fine, and the package did not get delivered in time or at all. I felt sad because I was guaranteed it would be delivered. I do understand that once a package is abroad it is out of Goin' Postals hands. However I do wish their staff knew more about the format of international addresses and there was an alert system when a package ended up having an issue. I do want to note Danielle was super helpful, prompt and friendly in doing what she could to resolve the issue. I just feel upset because I spent a lot of my weekend calling DHL customer service and following up on inconsistent information from DHL. I feel that sometimes some staff members do not really think issues through, like with the mailing address, and careless mistakes can happen. Maybe staff and customers just need to be educated more on the DHL process as well. For example I was told my package would not go through customs and then later I was told it actually does.
