  • Chinese restaurants are sometimes tough to review, since there are the "American" Chinese restaurants, and the more authentic variety. I've been to Jackie Chen a number of times with my kids, but never really knew what to make of the place. That was until I went a little off the typical General Tso's chicken or Hunan Beef and went for one of their less-American dishes. I wouldn't say the dish was "Authentic" Chinese per se, but it was really, really good. It was a Lo Mein-like noodle dish served with crab meat, vegetables, and a very light sauce. I wish I could remember the name of the dish. In any case, the point is, if you get a little adventurous you might be pleasantly surprised. For the typical Americanized dishes, Jackie Chen is fine, but try their others, and you'll see why I put them up there amongst the best Chinese restaurants around.
