  • **** NOTE: Star rating due to customer service ONLY..... not based on aesthetics or cleanliness. On Friday night (early sat morning) while out with friends, we decided to stop at Talking Stick Resort. We had already called to find out if there was a vacancy and we're told rooms were available. I was the first person there so I walked up to the counter to try to rent the room. The woman behind the counter looked at me and said in a very disregarding tone "we sold out last night" and never even bothered to check. I said, "Really? Every room?" Outraged I called another friend and explained. Once he got there he walked up to the desk and talked to a male. Not only did he tell him there was availability but he gave him a complimentary upgrade. Now I don't know if it was because the lady that was behind the counter was just that lazy, or if I was discriminated against (I'm Spanish not native), or just didn't like the fact that I was another woman (more discrimination).... but it surely wasn't just because they were "sold out". BEWARE. Very disappointed. Hope this isn't the start of a trend. I will update next time because I go quite frequently.
