Was recommended to try this place out instead of the other rapidly growing "Poke Bowl" joints sprouting out all over the valley all of a sudden?
Had the Ahi Katsu Bowl but to me was over cooked and just tasted like deep fried fish popped on rice and drizzled with sauce.
Also had the "Fried Saimin"? You've got to be kidding me charging $12 for that? Nothing to brag about, but I got that because the regular Saimin was not in "season" anymore?
Best part about the whole meal was the Haupia bar, as they already sold out of their Chantilly cake not even 2 hours after they've open on a Saturday when we were there? If they claim they make their own desserts, they should be happy that they sell out, but not with 7 more hours of operation to sell it.
Workers seem like they are just there, and not very courteous at the same time, maybe that's just how the place is managed. I dunno, but just way too many "poke" places in general in town now and this place should stand out being an extension from the original Oahu location, just ordered the wrong items or had a cook that was just there...
