If you are looking for the quintessential Pittsburgh meat market, this is the spot for you. You can get absolutely any fresh cut of pork, beef, or poultry you desire. The star of the show is the house made kielbasa. It reminds me so much of the kielbasa my Slavic grandmother used to make in her kitchen. The house made Italian hot sausage is on point as well.
This place stays busy - even on weekdays. Make sure to get a number at the door and the wait may be as long as 30 minutes. Be patient because you won't find meat like this at Giant Eagle!! They also offer call ahead ordering and they will package your order for pick-up, but I've never tried that.
