The service is really great. Our waiter was on top of it all night. On Tuesdays, they have this buffet and drink special for club members. It's a $30-$50 fee to get reduced pricing on drinks and food. I gave it a 3 star because they violated a few rules of plating. Rule number one, never plate anything that can't be eaten. They throw large sprigs of rosemary on all their dishes like an ornament. It can't be eaten, it has no value there. They also garnished the plate with green herbs. The herbs were all on the rim of the plate and seemed just a bit sloppy. The food isn't spectacular, it was very bland and could have tasted better. Last and not least I thought Germans were known for their desserts. I've been to German restaurants where I've been blown away by the countless desserts they had and how rich they were. Waldhorn has limited dessert and the chocolate cake we had felt like something I could have bought at Harris Teeter. Service is great but food, presentation, and dessert portfolio have to improve.
