  • Checker sold me a $400 pool pump that burned out 13 months later. When I called to ask whether there was a warranty, I was told by an annoyed sounding employee that "it's a year." I asked whether there was any way it might be extended under the circumstances, and got a flat "nope." No questions, no apologies, no explanation. That was my first and last Checker experience.
