  • My last review was from January. You can read it below, but my girlfriend and I had bad service and I thought the food wasn't that great. After emailing the manager of the restaurant (which is really rare for me) they got back with me and offered to take care of me the next time I was there. Fast forward 9 months and we came here again upon staying nearby. This time around the service was great and we were both happier with the food. We got bottomless mimosas, french onion soup, my girlfriend got the BBQ burger and I got the flat iron steak & fries. The prices seem like they are all over the board. For example crepes with strawberry, chocolate, and banana are only $11, but onion soup is $10. You can't order a single mimosa, but the bottomless mimosas are $25. Anyway, regarding the food, I'll note we were there for weekend brunch and were given complimentary fresh fried dount type things. I can't recall the name but they were pretty good. The onion soup was very good. Good amount of bread and cheese in it and my girlfriend who doesn't like onions and had never really tried onion soup before enjoyed it greatly. My girlfriend's said her burger was OK, but again here we ran into the same problem as with time before. We are both picky about ingredients and when I got the french dip months ago it had spinach on it, which was not listed on the menu and which I don't like. This time with the burger it had tomatoes on it but my girlfriend doesn't like tomatoes. You may think it's totally normal not to list things like tomatoes and lettuce for burgers and I agree, but they DID list lettuce as an ingredient on the menu. Whatever... My steak was decent. I usually don't like fatty steaks and it was fatty, but it was good. The only bad thing was that the steak was really devoid of seasoning. I've never salted a steak but I had to add salt to this one. As for the fries, we both agreed they were fresh, but were also lacking seasoning. Long story short, we like the food quality but don't care for the seasoning (or lack thereof). The prices vary from appropriate to a little high but at least this time the service was good. We may come back again, but I think my girlfriend will go back to crepes, which she liked the first time, and I'll try something new.
