  • My husband and I were in from Vancouver visiting family and looking for a cool place with a mellow vibe to meet his brother for drinks. A little internet sleuthing turned up the Velveteen Rabbit and it was absolutely perfect. Fantastic drinks expertly prepared by friendly bartenders, chill atmosphere and great music (think Bowie, Lou Reed, The Rolling Stones, etc). It's so refreshing to find a place like this in Vegas where you can have a well crafted drink and hangout with friends without shouting to be heard, struggling to find a place to sit or dealing with blaring TVs and video poker machines all over the place. I also have to say the ladies' room was absolutely spotless, it even smelled good, my inner germaphobe was rejoicing. We'll definitely be back!
