Ok first of all I would like to thank all of the veterans for their service to our country. My husband is a Vietnam vet and we have to go into Phoenix once a week for an allergy shot. He has received nothing but the best care here so far. His doctors have been pretty good for the most part. I'm not fond of doctors who quickly dole out medication for an issue they clearly know nothing about and should be referring you to someone who does. The place is relatively clean for a hospital, only saying this because the bathrooms could use some attention on a more regular time frame. The cafeteria food is pretty disgusting as most hospital cafeterias are although the coffee is pretty darn good.
Now for my biggest pet peeve. The new parking garage. The place had to be designed by an architect company full of meth heads on a 4.00 budget. Most parking garages I have been in have one way in and one way out. You really take your life in your hands with cars coming around the corners because there are no directional ramps that take you up or the same coming down. I'm just waiting to witness the first crash with someone not paying attention. A hospital this large should have thought ahead in their planning and purchased additional land and built this garage correctly. It is an architectural nightmare! I enjoy going to the VA with my husband because it makes me proud to be an American and to see what our government provides for all our wounded, disabled, and even healthy vets who need medical treatment.
