  • Dealing with this company has almost certainly taken years off my life, color out of my follicles, elasticity out of my skin. They don't guarantee a delivery date. They don't guarantee a pickup date. They give you several days to leave unscheduled. Then they call 24 hours before they're going to show up and give you a time when you have to be at your house. And they might not show up until the day after that. They charge extra for carrying up more than five stairs (and don't tell you that ahead of time), as well as mattress covers. They also consolidate everything in Las Vegas, which means that your stuff might just switch trucks after being carted from, say, Chicago to Arizona on its way to Northern California. In the end, I got all my things. And I'm so happy about it I even considered giving them two stars. But then I think back on every frustrating conversation, every contradiction, every time I really felt baited-and-switched... And I just can't do it. I don't know if there are any really *good* moving companies out there, but I would so much rather take my chances with almost any other company than use New Planet again.
