  • Dr. Calder and his office staff were extremely professional and the wait was close to non-existent. The thing I like about this office is their patience and dedication to educating the patient (me) on what could go wrong, what they will do, and what I will need to do to prepare. After my consultation, Dr. Calder spent an additional 30 minutes talking to me about his history and how he became a dentist. I don't think many dentists would do this, so that was awesome! Post Surgery, I only had to take pain killers on the first day. After the second day, I've stopped taking the Ibuprofen, and I barely feel pain. The secret is to blend everything and drink it in a cup (no straws!). I avoid chewing completely to make sure I don't rupture my blood clot and cause a dry socket which they tell me is extremely painful. I'm on Day 5 now, and things are great. I had two impacted teeth on the bottom half of my mouth that were pretty difficult to remove (so I hear from Pamela--the front office staff--post-surgery), but Dr. Calder did a great job. The only thing I will recommend is to please pick up your prescription before the day of surgery. I think I forgot to ask for it, or they gave it to me and I forgot to pick it up so my friend had to pick it up. Make sure you have someone who can drive you home and wait for you during the surgery!
