I wasn't overly blown away. Given the reviews I expected more. All the comparisons to genuine gelato, I would say it's not likely you've been to Italy. It did not have the rich creamy flavor of gelato. It was overly sweet and sugary and cheap tasting. While I did enjoy it at a c rating there was nowhere to sit. We stood at an empty table that had no chairs. The environment was very sterile feeling under the cheap fluorescent lights with plastic cups and little shovel spoons. The spoons were so tiny like sample sized spoons. It was really bizarre. Not what I expected from the highest rated gelato place in the valley or from scottsdale. Americanized gelato experience.
Edit: editing to respond to the owners response simply to say I left my honest review. I spent many years visiting Northern Italy and am very familiar with gelato. That is why I left this review. I've had it many times. There are gelato shops all over the small towns and large cities in Italy. I was excited to experience the gelato I missed so much as I actually did research looking for an authentic Gelato place here in the Valley. I'm aware it was busy but the table was available and was missing chairs.
