  • I called to make a rez a week in advance for my girlfriends birthday. I spoke with a manager and she assured me that she could accomodate for the party of 12, but due to their dining room and "policy" (the term the manager used) we would have to split into 2 tables. Which I agreed is fine. When we arrived the host said my name and party was no where to be found. The manager didnt even put down our rez! Strike 1. We waited in the lounge and got a drink. When we finally were seated I noticed another large party dining with 16 people. The dining area was empty. But whatever for now. 2 tables= 2 seperate servers taking care of 6. Not that hard. Then we ordered drinks and appetizers. Apps came out and we had ask TWICE why the drinks were taking over 20 minutes when the restauraunt is empty. Strike 2. Drinks finally came and my girlfriend got a basic margarita. I guess since I had to sternly ask twice where our drinks are they decided to poor an entire salt shaker into her margarita out of spite. I tried it myself and it was bad. It was like sucking up sand through the straw. Sent it back to be done correct which somehow took 20 minutes again! Strike 3, we should have walked out at this point and went to their competitor 'The Mission' only a 2 minute walk away and know they do a great job. *I highly recomend The Mission over this place if you want Latin food* The birthday girl was the only one not getting her drinks done right or in a timely manner. Ameture hour. Oh and wouldnt you know, a very nice empty table in a great spot in the dining area was vacant until 3/4 the way through our time there and a party of 14 was sat at that table. I asked the host if they reserved that table and she said no they were walk-ins. So you mean to tell me that they made us wait 20 minutes to be seated in an empty dining hall when we could have sat there AND the managers incompetence shined by not making our reservation and yet they sat a walk-in group there?! Classy. At the other table my friend informed me afterwards of the same issues even down to the food not even being the right order. Very dissappointed as I heard good reviews and recommended a lot of people here when I worked at the W Hotel around the corner. They sure fooled me. Remember, in the hospitality and food industry; it doesnt matter how good the food is if the service is terrible. No one remembers the food as well as they do the experience. Hence why I hardly remember if the food was any good due to the ignorance and annoyance of your staff. Not recommending to anyone ever again or coming here again. I am open for anyone to reach out to me. I highly doubt you will though. Or forget like you did my reservation.
