My stand-by restaurant, and the one I probably frequent most in Charlotte. Why? The food is consistently excellent, and the service is great. Eric, Georgie (one of the the owners) and the other lovely waiter whose name I don't know(!) always go out of their way to make everyone feel at home). I recommend the Breakfast and Spinach Ricotta Pizzas as well as the Wood-fired Vegetable Sandwich--all are delish. If they have any Balkan specials, those are worth trying too b/c the dudes who own this place are totally representing their motherland.
As an added plus, they always have great drink specials (e.g., half-off martinis on Saturdays) and appetizers are 50% between 5-7pm (I recommend the corn dip and portabello mushroom tower). Their outdoor seating area is a big hit in the warmer months, too, and is a good place for groups.
