  • In the past, I have used Parker and Sons for clearing a drain and an a/c tuneup. They respond fast and while they were expensive I was happy with past services. However, I had the same bad experience several people have reported on yelp - my a/c wasn't working, a tech came out and said the compressor would have to be replaced for about $3500 and recommended buying a new unit. A salesman then came out quickly and quoted a high price for a new unit (a brand which doesn't get good reviews). This morning I got a second opinion from another company - this tech fixed the minor problem my unit had quickly, for a few hundred dollars; he also said that the Parker and Sons tech had left the wiring in a mess which had to be fixed. I am very disappointed in Parker and Sons and won't use them again. I am really glad I read the yelp reviews and got a second opinion before shelling out an exorbitant sum for a new a/c unit.
