Unlike the owner, who just so happens to be Alexis Carrington from Dynasty meets Elizabeth Taylor ca. wheelchair, the clothes here are not vintage and are pretty unremarkable. I am a Jewiatric outlet junky, I always have my skinny yenta tentacles keeping check on the inventory at every discount outlet in town. So, I was pretty turned off when, while perusing racks of preowned Missoni and Escada minis, I realized exactly where most of their new inventory is coming from: Nordstrom Rack. From those dumpy sequined Tory Burch shifts to the same exact DVF wrap dress I was tempted to buy for $70 (which is now being resold here for $150), these people are buying discount retail and marking it up to high heaven- which is understandable, since I'm sure their house calls in Vegas aren't turning up much of anything but hot pink Juicy Couture tracksuits and bebe rouched tube dresses. If you're looking for discount casual sportswear, stick to Nordstrom Rack. If you're looking for a cheap gown or two piece suit (aka The Business Woman Special), The Refinery might be worth a look.
