| - Lasik Vision Institute gave me by far the most disappointing customer service experience of my life. Like many others, I heard the ads on the radio, got the emails. Well you know the saying "if it's too good to be true, it probably is?" Boy did they drive that message home. We've all heard the offer of $299.00 per eye right? I was dumb enough to believe them. I fell for it hook line and sinker.
I made an appointment, went through all the tests, got my pupils dilated, all the rigmarole. Their billing person wasn't in that day so they said someone would contact me in a couple days to discuss pricing. The next Monday they called to tell me the GREAT news! I was a candidate for Lasik! And for only $4,200.00 I could have perfect vision! Wait. What? What happened to $299.00 per eye?
Look, I'm no dummy. I know that's a price to get you into the door. I know there's going to be some bait and switch. SOME. But to go from around $600.00 to more than $4,000 is beyond bait and switch. It's fraud, or something close to it. So I emailed the rep that had been confirming my appointments. I said all of this to them in that email and did not receive a single response.
If you are in the market for good vision, and aren't we all? Avoid this company, do your homework and find one more honest and up front. Don't let them get your hopes up, only to dash them like they did with mine.
