I was traveling to the Phoenix area on business for a few days. I went out of my way to stay at an Embassy Suites because that line of hotels has always been very good to me. This hotel was not like the other Embassy Suites locations at which I've stayed. As others on here have noted, the decor is very outdated. I really felt like I was staying at an inexpensive hotel. This hotel also charges five dollars per day to park, which I don't understand and there didn't seem to be any shortage of spaces in the parking lot. The front desk staff wasn't all that warm or helpful. I didn't have any issues that needed to be addressed, which is probably good, because the staff seemed like they couldn't care much less.
The breakfast was pretty good, another thing that makes Embassy stand out from most other hotels. I didn't swim in it, but the pool looked pretty decent.
All I know is, if I ever come back to the Phoenix area, I will definitely be sure to stay somewhere other than here.
