rev:text	Four stars for the food and coffee. When this place first opened, the cafe food was mouth-wateringly good -- every single item I ordered off the menu (some of my favorites are the meatballs small dish, the chopped salad, and the caprese salad with heirloom tomatoes & burrata cheese) was delicious. Since then, my lunches there have been a little more inconsistent -- but the food is mostly good. The coffee and lattes here are excellent; the baristas really know what they are doing. The atmosphere is also very nice...a huge improvement upon the previous Right By Nature. Very open and modern. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The market itself, however, leaves much to be desired. They have a very specific subset of specialty grocery items, most of which are available at places like Whole Foods for cheaper. Their produce is often wilty, certainly not because they don't get it fresh, but most likely due to the lack of rapid rotation from enough people buying it from the market. The limited meat I have tried there has been good, except for the bacon, which I thought did not hold a candle to the Whole Foods' meat counter's Wellshire dry rub bacon. I will continue to visit Marty's every once in awhile for lunch and/or coffee and perhaps to pick up some featured produce if it's fresh, but my initial enthusiasm for the concept and the quality has waned a bit. I would like to try some more things from the meat counter, as it seems like the butcher is excellent and knowledgeable, and they carry parts that many other groceries do not (e.g. bone marrow).
