This is more of a 3.5 star review as we have generally had positive experiences until just recently.
We purchased our last two cars from dealerships in Waukesha prior to them adding this location in Madison. We were pleased when they opened here as it's very convenient for getting work done on our Honda Civic.
When they first opened they had generous coupons for the service area and even honored expired coupons. Service was top notch and we never even considered going elsewhere.
The muffler recently went out on our 2007 Civic and we headed in there to get that replaced. First we were shocked that there was now a fee even to check/verify the issue. Sure we'd expect that if we weren't going to follow through with the repair, but on a 9-year-old car a dead muffler was no surprise so we just fully expected it just to get fixed. This new fee doesn't even get rolled into the repair. The service manager explained the mechanics want to get paid, and I understand that, but why not just price the repair itself accordingly?
We were pleased in the end they did waive that fee for us after expressing our frustrations. It's nice they still value their customers and want to keep us. Or maybe they realized all they needed to do was listen to the car and it was pretty obvious the muffler needed to be replaced.
Anyway, $415 later we have a new muffler. For normal maintenance things like this, I think we'll shop around a bit now. On a 9-year-old car we don't need Honda branded parts though we certainly want parts made for the Honda.
