  • I was excited to try Public House but we had a terrible experience. We had a reservation for 14 people for a birthday party. When we arrived, they tried seating us all at a 6 person booth that barely half of us could squeeze into. After waiting a while, they got us a bigger table that could accommodate us all. Poor planning, but we got over it. We had one server and it was her second day on the job. It took us an hour to get our first round of drinks. She took the orders a couple at a time and would dissapear for a long time, only to return with a couple drinks. I ordered the fish and chips, which came out with three mcnugget sized pieces of chicken and fries. It didn't taste any better than it looked. It took us 45 minutes to pay. I understand we had 14 people, so it will naturally take a while. We were charged for more than what was on our bill when we handed her our card. When we told her, she said she was going to get a manager. She disappeared for a long time and a manager never came. Other people had problems with their checks too. We were all charged for more than we ordered and we finally just all gave up and paid more so we could leave. It was very frustrating. I understand she was new- I used to wait tables and at first I was sympathetic, but the service and food were both so bad and we were overcharged.
