| - Cute little bakery. I was surprised to find out it was a local mother-daughter team. Perhaps due to its proximity to the mall, I just assumed it would be another chain. But nope, mom was working the counter and shared how her daughter is a pastry chef and this store is her dream. Very cool. The space is small and bright. There is one small table with two chairs which makes this definitely a grab and go type place.
There was a decent selection of cakes in all different types: cupcakes, cake pops, mini bundt cakes. Many different flavors too. They also had chocolate covered Oreos and pretzels among other things. The look of the treats varied from cutesy to beautiful. They also had layer cakes on display and mom shared they do events.
I tried the mini lemon bundt cake and while it had a nice lemon flavor, I found the cake to be a bit denser that I was expecting. I picked up a cupcake sampler for a co-worker and she said they were very good. It had six mini-cupcakes priced at $7.95. I don't know if they rotate the flavors in the samplers or not but all samplers the day I was in included lemon, moscato, red velvet, vanilla, almond, chocolate (which she may have said was Bailey's but I'm not sure).
Parking is easy. It's located in a strip mall across from West Towne, where you'll find Rejuvenation Spa and La Baguette.
