  • I was at a basketball tournament in LV Memorial weekend from southern CA. While driving around Sunday, a warning light on Acura MDX came stating to "Check charging system. I searched online for an Acura Service place and Wally's and an Acura dealership came up. Because of Wally's high ratings on Yelp and great reviews, I decided to use them. They were closed Sunday and also Monday Memorial Day but I was able to go to their Webb site and schedule an appointment for first thing Tuesday morning and tell them my problem. Within a few hours, I got an email confirming my appointment. My families plan was to drive home Monday. I was able to make arrangements for my family to get home Monday with other families and I made arrangements to stay an extra day. I was at Wally's before they opened but the doors opened at 7:30am sharp. I was met by very friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable people. Knowing my situation and desire to get on the road as soon as possible everything was expedited for me. Within 1/2 an hour my problem was diagnosed as a bad alternator and they told me they would get me in the road by noon. Cost would be about $530. They offered me a ride anywhere but I had nowhere to go. They had a small nice waiting room with water, coffee, and cable TV. To my surprise, they were done by 10am with the cost less than $510. I was extremely pleased with the great friendly and efficient service. Now being on vacation 250 miles from home I was at the mercy of whatever cost and time it would take to fix. When I got home, just for the fun of it, I called the dealer that I go to service my car and asked what it would cost to replace an alternator. To my surprise, it was over $150 more! He said it must not be Acura certified parts and he looked it up and they were. He jokingly said I was lucky it happened in Las Vegas. I said in the future I might drive to Vegas for service. If you are in the Las Vegas area for any reason and need service for you Acura or Honda this is the place to go. On a side note the also service Toyotas and Lexus. You will get great friendly service at a great price!!
