| - A few weeks back, on the last day of our group's stay in Vegas, we decided to hit up The Mob Museum. Having seen The Godfather I & II (I didn't include III on purpose... pretending that one doesn't exist), Goodfellas, Casino, The Departed, and a few other great mafia/gangster films, I've always wanted to learn more about organized crime. The museum definitely didn't disappoint.
From what we were told, the building use to be a courthouse. There are several floors with rooms that played films, pictures, props, and interactive displays. The even had the wall from The St. Valentine's Day Massacre. We were there for a solid 2.5 hours... probably could have easily spent another 1-2 hours in there.
Admission was fair and there was adequate parking. I must mention we were there on a weekday. I've heard that it gets crowded on weekends. If you dislike crowds, a weekday might be better.
Worth the visit if you want to learn about the history of Vegas and/or would like to learn more about mobsters like Al Capone, John Dillinger, John Gotti, Henry Hill, and many others.
