Wet Republic is a day club by the Hakkasan Group at MGM Grand. The dress code is fashionable swim wear so dress to impress and if you are not in a swim suit, you will not be allowed to enter. Prices for admission varies on which DJ is playing. They often host Steve Aoki, Tiesto and Hardwell -- so those will definitely be the busier days.
Over the weekend I was able to see Tiesto at Wet Republic thanks to the best promoter in the universe: Derek Schuttpelz (ig: @syroscape1). As a part of the Hakkasan group he is also my hook up for Omnia, Hakkasan, Jewel and Liqued Pool. Derek is so awesome he even texted me to make sure that I got in with no problems. I am actually amused because I was on Derek's guest list for comped entry and we got in before some of the people who purchased tickets. We got in around 11:30am and he was telling me how Wet Republic hit capacity about half an hour after. This place definitely knows how to party!
This day club is on the smaller side compared to other clubs in Vegas. Their salt water pool is surrounded by a lot of daybeds so those people get to enjoy that portion of the edge of the pool as a part of their area. I feel like it is not as enjoyable for anyone who does not have a daybed or table because you would have to get a locker ($60) to store your stuff while you're partying in the pool.
The drinks here are a bit on the weaker side. My friend had a Mango Mojito ($20/16oz) and there was no hint of mango or any taste of mint to make it a mojito. I had a Frozen Strawberry Daiquiri mixed Pink Lemonade ($20/16oz) and it was really syrupy. These prices are actually standard for Vegas... All I have to say is that I'm glad I'm not a guy in Vegas.
Tiesto was amazing and my friend and I had a great time but I am biased in saying that because I didn't have to spend any money. If you decide to party here, I recommend getting a daybed or table where you can leave your things and have a spot to chill. Either that or come with a large group so you can split the cost of the locker... The other option is to be friendly, make friends and leave your stuff at their table/daybed.
