  • I've had the same problems as other reviewers with Inspire. 1) The air conditioning is just non-existent. If you have a game after 11am during the summertime, you're looking at 90+ degree temperatures indoors. It's not even remotely comfortable. 2) Parking is a serious problem. Seriously, if you're going to host a weekend basketball tournament, arrange with your neighbors to have some actual parking there. But, my biggest issue is, and I hate having to say this, the existence of "official" Inspire Courts teams. If you go to an Inspire Courts tournament and find that there's an Inspire Courts team playing in your division, you can rest assured that you already know who'll win that division. In my 2 years coming to Inspire, I think I've seen an Inspire team lose their division a single time. How's this possible? The officiating. I don't know how or why (since the officials aren't affiliated with Inspire, just paid by Inspire), but, invariably, if the game is even remotely close, odd calls will start happening. I've seen games where the Inspire team hasn't had a single foul called on them in the 2nd half. I've also seen games where the non-Inspire team has had 10 fouls called on them before the first for Inspire. This happens so much that it's become a running joke among all the other organizations that play at Inspire, and spectators will just start laughing when it starts happening. You just need to accept the reality: their teams are used to advertise for Inspire, so you're not there to play for the championship, you're there to play for 2nd place.
