| - Jesus rocks! Love the Bible...read it everyday...pray, and I try and walk the walk only with the Grace of God. I was raised Catholic and I can't even begin to tell you what this church has done for me and my family. Through the fellowship of my friends in our "neighborhood groups" I am not doing life on my own anymore. Pretentious church? I don't need statues and flower arrangements anymore to get real and get on my knees and say "bless me Father". There is only one Father for me and I have a direct link to him through my Savior Jesus Christ. I "do" church with the needy, the sick and the hopeless and that's everyday doing life and spreading the Good Word. Church starts the minute I walk out of CCV on Sunday. I go to CCV to praise Him and thank him for another day of breathing. We have the rule book, the Word, the Bible. Church "was" asking for forgiveness....over and over.. Up and down... One more confession, one more Hail Mary.. I AM Forgiven now...I love my new found born-again faith and the only befitting way to demonstrate that joy is singing his praises loud and proud! Tell me it isn't exciting sitting in Yankees Stadium watching them win; hitting home-run after home-run! CCV is my stadium and all my friends are there and I'm just so happy I now know Jesus and what he did for me! I never saw so many people walking into a church with Bibles until now. Mine is worn, filled with underlining, hi-liter, and sticky notes. Pastor Don and the rest of the team teach right from it and it has never been more alive. I taught youth group, and my husband and I were neighborhood leaders. If it takes a free hamburger or a cup of soda to get a family to come to church, who cares. Because when the pain of life comes, and it will, there is nothing else that will get you through the storm. I want all my brother and sisters to know there is a way to the light out of the darkness. I struggled so much in life before coming to Christ. Some damage has been done and still lingers. If only someone had invited me for a free hamburger and soda back then. Like Pastor Mark says..."Make Jesus Famous"!
