| - I went in last week to get gel mani & a pedi. After the first two nail spots I tried being a bust (one didn't acknowledge me for 10 minutes as I stood there waiting and had no seating/waiting area, the other closed on a Monday even though their hours said "Open"), I stopped into Nail Perfection and was immediately greeted and offered a bottle of water. After picking out my pedicure color, I was seated in a comfortable chair and given 2 baskets full of color options for my gel mani.
The nail tech was very friendly and just the right amount of chatty. She did an excellent job on both my mani & pedi, though she did draw a little blood on one of my more stubborn cuticles. She did coat on the bottom coat, polish, and top coats pretty heavy, which I like with gels...My nails tend to break very easily and gels make it easier to grow out.
The shop looks clean, but I didn't see an Auto-Clav or anything else for tools that can be reused, which made me a little uneasy (I had already finished my pedicure & half way through manicure when I walked to the back and didn't see anything, so I couldn't just stop service).
I was also charged $5 extra above the standard gel manicure price because the polish I picked out is glittery? I don't know. That was weird.
Overall, I liked the shop. They were friendly, they really layered on the polish, comfy chairs, tons of color options. The downside is I didn't see that Auto-Clav for disinfecting/sterilizing tools.
