I have long been a fan of Las Vegas' Lotus of Siam, often cited as the top Thai restaurant in the US. Years ago a friend recommended, Nittaya's Secret Kitchen... and I discovered the West Side's best kept secret.
Nittaya is located at Lake Mead and Rampart and is a west side local favorite. The decor is thoughtful and warm with wood and fabrics and an intimate even romantic feel. The restaurant feels small with two adjacent dining rooms and a wine bar.
The food is undeniably delicious with the usual variety of a top notch Thai restaurant. As good of Thai food as I have ever had, including Lotus and Thailand! While I dine here alone at the bar or as a couple often, I prefer going with a group so I can over order and get deeper in the menu.
My favorites are the citrus steak salad and the Kao Soi. The FOB pineapple rice is a great addition to any meal and the chicken dumplings are excellent. Actually, everything is delicious.
The service is warm and friendly, Josh has been there for years providing exceptional service. Thank you!
The wine list is decent, I highly recommend a bottle of Reisling to compliment your meal. Try the Schloss or Monchoff. Thursday, they have 1/2 off wine bottles.
