| - We came here to try out the Friday Night Gunfights. It's a new thing they're doing to teach people a little bit about the do's and dont's of shooting a gun. The owner is very knowledgeable and can answer any questions you may have.
When you first go into the back, you hangout in a hookah lounge until they're ready to go. They have a bar in there too and prices are pretty generous. $8 for name brand drinks.
They give you a little talk and then do a demonstration. They have an arena they take you back to and you watch as two guys do a live gunfight using simunition so it acts as a real fight but you'll only get a few welts and bruises from getting shot at. After they do the demo, they allow anybody who's there to give it a shot of they'd like. It's only $10 per mag. A good fight, you'll probably need about 4 mags. My boyfriend gave it a go. Nobody else wanted to get in the ring, so he went up against one of the guts who do the demonstration. He loved It and wants to go back. I bruise easily so I definitely wouldn't go in there, but it was fun to watch, especially when you know someone participating. They give you protection and let you choose what kind of gun you want to use.
Once everybody who wanted to give it's try, does, they move on to the next event, shooting a ball on off someone's head. If you can shoot the balloon before the owner can, you win a prize. If you don't, you have to pay. Seems easy enough, but the owner is good. Very good so come prepared.
The last thing they do that you can participate in, is the grenade toss. It's $5 per grenade. You have to throw it just right to hit one of the balloons on the ground when it explodes. If you can do it, you win a prize. Again, not as easy as it looks. But, it's still fun.
