| - I wish I could give negative stars. This place is ABSURDLY bad, and has caused such a huge amount of stress during this pregnancy I'm thinking of switching doctors with 2 weeks left until my due date.
The office staff is incredibly rude, and apparently incapable of doing their jobs correctly. I've been to both locations in Glendale and surprise, and it's the same level of incompetence. FOUR TIMES during the 2 months I've been going here, they have managed to screw up my appts.
I'll book a time and date, I'll get a reminder call from their office for said time and date, I'll get my shift covered at work, I'll make the 30 min drive over there, and SOMEHOW they have my appt down for hours earlier. I don't possibly know how this works because I'm getting automated phone calls reminding me of my proper appt times, yet theyre still managing to screw it up, forcing me to reschedule...missing yet ANOTHER day of work that I cannot afford. And then they have the audacity to get pissy with me, like I'm wasting their time!!
Office staff for any business should be able to make appointments, it's their primary function...yet multiple office staff are clearly incapable of doing it here. Don't even get me started on their billing practices, or outside blood testing.... (fyi, you will be forced to push all payments yourself to your insurance, something they should be doing).
The midwives are nice, but all but one are clearly inexperienced and sort of "winging it". Whenever I have a question, I get a bumbling answer that just sounds like a guess...i get more info and proper diagnosis with Google.
The whole place has the overwhelming feeling that no one knows what the hell they're doing, and that is TERRIFYING when you're pregnant for the first time. I'm even looking into other hospitals to birth at other than Banner in Surprise because I'm scared that whoever is in charge of staffing at Arizona maternity also staffs the hospital and everyone is equally incompetent/untrained/unreliable/unkind.
I wish I got out of here sooner.
