I just found this place so much fun and authentic. I lived in England for 8 years and this place is exactly what a British Pub is meant to be--dark, good beer, mediocre food and friendly but not too friendly service. The food is not for the "True Foods" Tofu set. I started with delicious New England Clam Chowder and our table shared some unbelievably good nachos.
Next I had the fish and chips which were perfectly good but not special. I know people rave about the homemade fries. Personally, I love how McDonalds, Five Guys, et al do fries and these tasted more like cut potatoes than crispy fries.
Still, the entire experience was so much fun--especially in these hot bright summer days, it's so nice to get a perfect cold beer in a dark place like this. If you like English pubs this is the place.
