| - We went here last Saturday night for a show, and we're looking forward to a fun night. Unfortunately, the upstairs venue space was closed and we learned that the concert would be in the basement space. We headed on down, and found all tables and bar spaces taken. Undaunted and wanting to hear our friend play, we stationed ourselves at the edge of the bar to get the attention of a bartender. One grumpy older bartender promptly told us he would not serve us at that location at the bar, as it is behind a table. So, we moved around to the front. Happily we were assisted by a much more pleasant young woman. I ordered a mixed drink made with cider, fresh squeezed lemon, and amaro, and it was quite refreshing on a hot evening. We had to drink and stand for half of the show, which was rather annoying. People were talking over the performers, and we couldn't tell how many people came to see the show and how many just stumbled upon it. We were finally able to colonize a table later in the evening, and decided to restart the night! Our waiter was quick and efficient, and we enjoyed the music from our new location. I was happy to see wines from Pittsburgh Winery, and enjoyed the White Blend. We decided against any food for the evening.
I hope that the upstairs space opens soon; until then I might wait to attend a concert again or at least make sure I request a table in advance.
