DO NOT GO HERE FOR WEDDINGS. USE TUXEDO JUNCTION INSTEAD
We went there for a tuxedo fitting appointment for my wedding. First we had to wait for 15 minutes (not a big deal, I'm a patient person) When we were seen by the employee, we described what our colors were and what we were looking for. We're having a Harry Potter wedding and I'm a Ravenclaw so we wanted a Blue suit/tux with a bronze or bronze-like (brown) vest.
We were then told that they only have 5 tuxedo templates for rent and that's it. And the only blue is so dark it might as well have been black.
We were immediately dismayed but carried on with the appointment. The man helping us suggested we just buy a suit instead of renting something. That is not what we wanted and would end up being way more money than we were willing to spend. However he offered a 40% discount (that sure says something about their margins if you ask me) so we once again continued and looked at suits.
This is where things got weird. Aside from initially being told to try on a couple jackets, I wasn't allowed to try anything on. We were told they didn't keep an inventory on wedding attire and it all had to be ordered in. Fine.
The man then proceeded to put together an outfit for me and presented it all laying on a table. I was not allowed to try any of it on. (it also consisted of a white dress shirt that was $100 on its own)
We were then shown swatches of vests they provide (a limited selection) and they, once again, didn't have any I could try. The man then quietly and absent mindedly flopped swatch after swatch on top of the pile of clothes on the table so we could see how it "looks".
It's at this time I should mention how absolutely dreadful his customer service was. I wish I remembered his name. But he definitely didn't want to be there or at least didn't want to be working with us.
He moved from the vest swatches to ties. My fiancée asked to see a black tie with the ensemble and he showed a pattern tie. She asked to see a black tie a second time and he quietly ignored her and showed another patterned tie. My fiancée asked a THIRD time and he ignored her, said nothing, but did show us a black tie. It ended up not looking good, which I assumed he already knew would be the case but we still wanted to SEE it or at least appreciate him ACKNOWLEDGING her.
After all this, we were then informed that the first and only time we would be able to try this outfit on to make sure it fit me would be TWO DAYS before the wedding even though this appointment was FOUR MONTHS before the wedding.
So we wouldn't ever see what my suit would look like actually on my body and not just draped on a table until it was too late to change anything about it if we needed to.
This appointment lasted 15 minutes and it was the worst customer experience of my life. We left and immediately found out about tuxedo junction and they were accommodating in all the ways Men's Wearhouse was not.
I'm sure they are great if you want to buy a suit but DO NOT go here if you need to rent for a wedding unless you have no specific needs. They simply won't help you.
