  • Ok, so I like many others who wrote reviews went on this timeshare presentation. I wanted Excalibur Tournament of Kings tickets for my family of three, so when the scheister at Excalibur offered me 3 tiks for the price of one, I jumped on it ( tickets are $70+). I was told to pay $70, that the presentation would last 2 hours, that I would be served lunch from Jason's Deli (the "1 rated deli in Vegas" according the the guy), and that I would be picked up and brought back in a bus. So here we go..... When we got to the Grandview which is way the hell off the strip, they corralled us into a holding pen. Slowly, they called each of us to meet our agent. Our agent then Walked us over to where the food was. We had to serve ourselves dry, crusty, tasteless sandwiches. Then the guy takes us over to a room to start the sales pitch. The guy was real nice, I think his name was Marcus. But he won't let me eat my sandwich because he keeps asking me question and I can't answer with my mouth full, so I set it aside. So I didn't get to have my promised lunch. Horrible horrible sandwiches by the way. Oh, and also the bus that picked us up is actually one of those party buses complete with a striper pole, so i was desperately looking for hand sanitizer when we got off. Who knows what stripper rubbed their crotch against the poles we were holding on for dear life to. But I digress. We arrived at 2 because the location is 20 minutes away from Excalibur and we were waiting there since 1:30. So he shows us the details of the property. Then he takes us on a tour. The room we were shown was BEAUTIFUL. Tells us that the room we are looking at is the room we are going to get. Tells us the total for the room will be $29,000. We say thank you but no thank you. Gives me the you deserve it you work hard speech. No thank you we say. That's when he calls the first manager who slices that price to $11,000 special discount for "medical personnel." No thank you we say. By the way, this lady had the most revolting breath. Again, we say no thank you. She says ok, let me go get you your gifts. Doesn't come back but some indian dude comes claiming to be the regional director and slices that price to $5000. Well that's fine but why didn't you offer me that price to begin with? Again we tell him no, and he just rudely gets up from the table and leaves. Marcus comes back and says let me give you your gift. It is about 4:30 by then. The lady with the horrible breath comes back and tries to convince me once again. No means no lady. Again she says let me go get your gifts. Marcus tries to convince us one last time, but sorry buddy. The answer is still no. He says to come back anytime if we change our minds, but that if we don't buy today we're SOL because he can only offer that price the first time. But no, I'm still not gonna buy, but might consider it in the future. So I ask for his business card, and he says " I DONT HAVE ONE." Really? What kind of real estate agent/major company employee doesn't have a business card? Doesn't sound right to me. Finally at 5pm ish they tell us to have a nice day, and we are sent to the "exit" room where one final time, we sit with a lady who does a customer review with us, and gives it one final try to sell us thus timeshare. Final offer is $3999. G*D DAMMIT I SAID NO. Then she says well then you're done, and shoos us into a final room to collect our gift. Here I can hear all the other suckers who came to the presentation complaining about how long the presentation was. All in all we've been there 3 1/2 hours. I look at the clock and it's suddenly 5:30. Our plans were to see the show at 6pm and it's looking dire. Finally at 5:44 we are called and given our vouchers by a guy named Alberto who looks like I feel....like putting a bullet thru my brain. So we have our vouchers in hand, and guess what??? The "party bus" is pulling away. So we scream (and the ahole driver sees us running and calling to him) and he stops the party bus about 1/2 a block away for us (same ahole who 4 hours ago says he appreciates tips, I bet you do ahole). He takes us back to Excalibur and with 5 minutes before 6 we are given our tickets and run into the show. So they totally lied and the presentation (hostage negotiation) lasted a little over 4 hours. So the show tickets would have cost me a little over $200 and I got them for $70 so that was a good deal, but I think I lost a part of my soul today. So, if you don't care about loosing 4 hours of your life, by all means do the timeshare presentation. I WILL NEVER EVER EVER DO A TIMESHARE PRESENTATION. Until tomorrow, because I'm going to see the Bluegreen Resort. Haha. Cruise vouchers promised so I'll post that review when I'm done. Feel free to ask me questions.
