  • I'm 48 years old and had never had my eyes checked before so I didn't know what to expect. Well, I was really blown away by the care at Akers. I was sent paperwork by email before I arrived so most of that was already done (nice touch) and when I got there I was quickly taken in for my initial check. They have all kinds of really cool new technology to map your retina and test all kinds of things. All very easy, non-invasive, and thorough. And without eyedrops/dilation, so no down time. After the initial testing I was taken to an exam room and the Dr. was in within 5 minutes. He completed the exam quickly but took time to discuss his findings and recommend next steps. Looks like I need some glasses for reading and close up stuff and they had a great selection. I picked out my glasses and was on my way - all within about 45 minutes! Great service. Couldn't ask for more!
