  • This restaurant redeemed itself tonight. My last visit was not quite a disaster but close. I was by myself tonight with a 5:30 reservation. Wasn't excited about being seated in a small back room but probably would have been reseated if I'd asked. I started out with a Macallan 12. Don't think I've ever been charged over $20 for one but it was a reasonable pour. Calamari for an appetizer. Cooked perfectly and could have easily been shared. The wedge salad had plenty of good blue cheese. I don't think it mentioned the type of lettuce but it wasn't a crispy iceberg like most. My strip steak was closer to medium than the medium-rare I asked for but it was a delicious piece of meat. Very flavorful and more tender than a strip usually is. Loaded baked potato was done just right. It too would have been plenty to share. The table assistants were really in the ball. My server, not quite as attentive as I'd expect at a restaurant in this price range ($120.00). Overall I'd give tonight's dinner a 9 on food and an 8 on service. Huge improvement over my last visit.
