  • Mr. C's Academic Coaching Services takes education to the next level. Along with his tried-and-true approach to teaching, Mr. C's professional acumen, courteous demeanor, qualified pedigree, and steadfast dedication to his students have earned him an exceptional reputation in Las Vegas as the leading provider of college application assistance, SAT/ACT/LSAT/GRE test preparation, and individualized academic tutoring. His record speaks for itself and has solidified ACS over the past 20 years in the community as the premier resource for specialized guidance to local college bound high school students. My father's colleague referred us to Mr. C in 2005 when I was a sophomore at BGHS. My parents wanted to provide me with the opportunity to learn from an experienced mentor in preparation for college. Like many other high school students, I found myself uninspired in the classroom and overrun by distractions at the time. At our first meeting he listened carefully to the few curt replies I could muster to his many pointed questions and the vague plans I had at the time for my future . Though intimidated at first, I now know Mr. C's intent was not to embarrass me in front of my parents, but rather to gather the information necessary to meet his standards for a careful consideration of how he might help me. As a competent coach and assertive teacher, Mr. C challenged, intrigued and inspired my young mind back then in ways no one else had before. Mr. C did much more than help me score a 780M/710V/780W on the SAT and a 33 on the ACT, he questioned me on matters of philosophy, guided me through poems and literature, and held me accountable for completing the many interesting and thought provoking tasks he assigned me for homework, including reading many new books and even writing my own satire. As a sophomore I became more interested in my schoolwork and academics in general because of his dedicated guidance, and as a junior I learned discipline from him via the implacable expectations he has always had when it comes to the development of his students and their intellects. As a senior he helped with my college applications, and I was accepted nearly everywhere I applied. I decided to attend Duke University, and such an opportunity simply would not have been possible without all of Mr. C's generous help.
