Came to the Danforth on a sunny crisp Sunday morning and stopped by for coffee. The friendly lady owner greeted me and said their galaktoboureko just came out of the oven. Who am I to pass up on fresh baked anything that just came out of the oven. The center was a slightly sweet custard and the phyllo pastry was crispy on the top with a dusting of cinnamon and soft on the bottom from soaking in syrupy goodness. With my black coffee to balance out the overall sweetness, my inner fat kid was content. I hear their honey balls are the bomb! Will have to lick their balls, honey balls, next time.
