So myself and a coworker passed by this joint and loved the outside decor for the sign. Yelped it, and bamb! A whoppin 4stars huh, so today we stopped by to try it.
Let's just start off with the entrance to the place. Line to the door. No tables open. One cashier, during the lovely lunch hour.
The tables weren't bussed yet so we sat at a dirty table till it was cleaned. Can't blame them as the line never stopped from growing and to go orders were huge as people walked out.
Food arrived and then the taste buds had an awakening. I tried the Cabo Shrimp taco, Mayan Cochinita Pibil taco, and Oaxaca Black Mole Chicken Shark Taco. All are very delicious just as is. Did not need the salsa bar they have but tried them for the chips the give while you wait.
Only downside to the joint is the tortilla. The tacos seemed like they served them on some you get at Frys and or even a knock off, definitely nothing gourmet or authentic about those.
Overall spent $16 on three tacos priced 3.99 each and a drink. Will I return??? Probably not, maybe to try others from the menu. But not worth the 4/5 stars!
