  • I was looking for a place to service my older Singer sewing machine so that my daughter could do some sewing with it. Doing an online search I came across A-1 Vacuum and Sewing. It's pretty close to my house and since I really only wanted to have my machine serviced, I decided to give it a shot. When I arrived at their store, Sonny did a quick overview of my machine and noticed that the spring lever for the presser foot was broken. I mentioned that I really didn't want to put a lot of money into repairs as my daughter would, likely, be buying her own machine in the near future. Not only was Sonny able to clean and service my machine, but he also made the needed repair on the lever, all for the very reasonable price of $70.80. Additionally, he had it ready for me to pick up in just a couple of days. I realize there was another reviewer that was unhappy with her experience at A-1 Vacuum and Sewing, but I couldn't be happier. Not only will they have my future business, but I will be sure to recommend them to others, as well.
