  • 5/31/16 Armor Kote came about 15 minutes early before the 7am arrival time! Which was fine with me. They got to work right away. The machine they used was not overly noisy grinding the old epoxy paint off of the floor from previous owners and it had a vacuum on it so there wasn't any dust blowing around. That was nice! Then they prepped the floor with the stuff to set the chips on. I wanted the Desert Grey color to compliment the new green/grey paint on the walls of my garage. The guys wore their spikes on their shoes by this point to keep the chips and the floor from foot impressions. Then they had set times from in between the coats of the polyurea high gloss which didn't take long. They were done at 1:30 pm for me. My garage is a 2 car @ 416 sq ft. This floor comes with a lifetime warranty. It cost me $1971.84. I shopped around for weeks before deciding. There were a number of factors; warranty (some only give 5/ 10/ 15 yrs); type of flooring applied (painted w/partial chips for some companies; polyasparatic not high gloss less warranty coverage; polyurea high gloss lifetime warranty; colors shown online for some companies; other companies will not show but insist on coming to your home to give you a look at samples.) Armor Kote was the only company that gave me the correct measurement of my garage floor!!! All other companies I interviewed gave larger footage!
