My Girlfriend received a trade certificate:spa for $50. She called in advanced to set the appointment and told the lady that she had a gift certificate. She said it was fine and my girlfriend booked the appointment for a pedicure online. We read all the fine print, and knew that canceling incurs a fee. We went to the facilities, and the front desk agent then told her that the certificate is only for facial and massages. On the certificate it gives no mention of exactly what it is and isn't valid for, it just says that you can't buy spa merchandise, activities ( so generic I have no idea what that means), services( aren't everything they do a service for you?) and food and beverage or room reservations. She said that my girlfriend was not allowed to use this and because she obviously didn't want to spend $80 on a pedicure, which is why she had the certificate, she still charged her the $25 cancellation fee. I really believe that this is extremely poor customer service and perhaps they need to re-evaluate the purpose of their certificates. Had we known, she wouldn't of booked the appointment and used that $25 to get a pedicure. I feel this is unacceptable, since she comes here often with her family. They need to resolve this.
