  • I went to Block & Grinder on a Friday night (2/17) with a friend. Overall our experience was just ok, borderline not good. I called earlier in the day to make a reservation because I thought the restaurant may be crowded around the time we were interested in going, but the girl who claimed to have my reservation never did. Thankfully the restaurant was not busy at all upon our arrival. Our server took a little longer than he should have to come over, seeing as we were one of the only two tables of people in the restaurant. The food is definitely over priced for the quality. My steak was good but way underseasoned, while my friends salmon was so salty it was not even edible. The server was extremely unattentive, especially once my friend asked could his salmon be replaced with something else. The manager who worked that evening was extremely pleasant and did not make us feel like we were putting him out for asking for the salmon to be replaced. The drinks were mediocre and so was the atmosphere. The restaurant just didn't strike me as a "fancy" restaurant and the price of the food did not match the atmosphere and/or service. I will not be returning.
